Author Biography Tatiana de Rosnay was born on September 28th, 1961 to a French Father and an English mother. Tatiana was raised in Paris and moved to Boston when her father began teaching at MIT in the 70’s(Macmillan 1). Tatiana moved to England in the 80’s to obtain her Bachelor's degree in English Literature at the University of East Anglia, in Norwich (Macmillan 1).Tatiana later returns to Paris in 1984 where she becomes a press officer, then a journalist and a literary critic for Psychologies Magazine( People Pill 1). Tatiana de Rosnay married Nicolás Jolly in 1982, together they have two children. Since 1992 Tatiana has published over 12 novels. Her most popular novel is Sarah’s Key. The novel became an international sensation with more than 5 million copies sold in forty countries worldwide and has been made into a major motion picture (Dublin City Council 1). Tatiana was touched greatly by the Holocaust which enlightened her to write Sarah’s Key. Sarah’s key reached out to a wide range of readers and some of those were even Holocaust survivors, that appreciated De Rosnay for writing her novel. De Rosnay says “ The more I read, the hungrier I become. Each book seemed promising, each page I turned offered an escapade, the allure of another world, other destinies, other dreams”. Tatiana de Rosnay allows her readers to escape their daily life by just opening a page of her novels.
